If the wasp nest is within physical reach of our technician, we will place a bag below it and inject an insecticide powder directly into the center of the nest, after a short period it will be safe to approach, and we will place the nest inside the bag and take it away from your home.

The more common scenario is that the wasps have built their nest in a place that has no access, usually someplace deep inside a cavity wall where there is no way of getting at it.
Again, we follow a similar set of steps and the powder is injected directly into this void. This will be carried back to the nest by the wasps themselves, as the insecticide is extremely powerful it will kill all the wasps inside including those workers that are out hunting for insects when they return to the site. In these situations we expect activity to finally cease after a few hours.
Liquid wasp nest treatment
When we will discover a large wasp nest inside a void that isn’t suitable for use with a powder, we can use a liquid insecticide which is incredibly fast acting. In these situations, insect activity stops within a minute and because the nest has soaked up the insecticide we leave it in place as this will kill any returning wasps instantly.
We also offer chemical lures that entice the worker wasps away from your outside areas; these are hanging traps that attract the wasps into a trap, these lures are selective and only attract wasps, meaning that honeybees and bumblebees are safe. The lures are totally pesticide and toxin free as well as being completely maintenance free – no cleaning and no emptying; simple hang up, allow them to take out the wasps and then dispose of, its as simple as that!
